This release corresponds to the revision r1771 of the source code. This prototype is a distributed version of the middleware involving three sites:

• I3S: hosts the central registry and a Site server (neurolog.unice.fr)
• IRISA: hosts a Site server (neurolog.irisa.fr)
• GIN: hosts a Site server ()

The servers are pre-deployed. New users may download the client application and configure it to connect to its local Site server. Users are encouraged to report bugs or enhancement requests through the TRAC server (https://nyx.unice.fr/projects/neurolog).

As third-party tools are needed to support medical images viewing features, 4 distributions of the client are downloadable from the following links, depending on your operating system:

• Linux 32bits (the viewer needs to be recompiled with 32bit dicom libraries, it will be available arround the 10th of august)
• Linux 64bits
• Windows
• MacOSX

To install the software, just unpack the archive into your home directory. A hidden directory .neurolog will be created containing

• a launcher script nlog_client
• a lib directory containing the jar archive of the software
• a 3rd_party directory containing required dependencies
• a viewer directory containing compiled libraries for the viewer

To run the application, just launch the nlog_client script (you may check for execution right on this file)
